Photography at night

When it comes to shooting at night all photographs can be very

exciting and very unique. Try to experiment with different exposures

between ten seconds and two minutes. If you use slow exposure setting

on your camera, you can get some brilliant motion efect while

photographing at night. You can never know what will be the final

result, but try to experiment, it can be fun.
It's probably the best to set your camera to auto white balance for

more naturally looking colours of neon, traffic or street lights.

* Tips for photographing car light trails:

Find location with planty of traffic so that you get lots of car

trails. Try experimenting with angles. Very important thing for

photographing car trails at night is exposure. If you photograph with

longer exposure, you will get a longer trail and if you photograph

with short exposure, you will get shorter car light trails. If you

perfer nice and sharp trails, it's important to use a tripod.

* Tips for photographing fireworks at night:

Fireworks is very interesting subject but it's very difficult to

photograph it at night. Always try to shoot sharp photographs with

lots of different colours. It is very important to find a interesting

view. You can always use wider angle and than crop the photo later to

avoid missing something up. Tripod is significant, because the camera

shake can be a big problem. Use long exposure and shoot it with

manual mode. Photograph with low ISO to reduce digital noise.

* Tips for photographing moon:

For shooting moon at night you need a long camera lens (300mm is not

enough). Your ISO should be lowest for cleaner pictures. You can't do

it without a tripod. Tripod is very important! Enable timer and

mirror lockup on your camera. Shoot RAW. Experiment with white

balance, but I perfer to set the white balance to Daylight.
